The premiere of Siesta Key has left us SHOOK and to be honest, we'd forgotten how very much we missed being transported to a foreign land to imagine sunning ourselves on the beach, sipping a cocktail, watching the drama unfold. Looking back at MTV shows, those celebs really knew how to vacay.

So here is the ultimate guide to MTV celeb's fave holiday destinations and exactly what to do there to follow them in their footsteps...

Laguna Beach

Where it all began. Head to Laguna Beach in Orange County to see the mansions of your long lost loves Stephen Colletti and Kristin Cavalleri. Well, they’re childhood homes anyway. Packed with huge houses, beaut beach cafes and amazing sands, it’s the cutest town you’ll ever see. Sadly Lauren Conrad’s’s fam moved away but you can still drive by and see that iconic drive where Jason picked her up in that weird old car. Get your nails done at Paradise nails, relax by the Alison Beach Bonfire Pits or eat at Driftwood Kitchen which Lauren says it still one of her fave places to go.

Cabo

It was our teenage dream to hit the resorts of Cabo San Lucas a la the Laguna Beach kids. We wanted to sunbathe during the day and hit the bars at night where Kristen and Stephen had their infamous fight after she danced on a pole. The cast stayed at the ME Hotel (so fance), swam to The Arch near playa del amor island and headed to the clubs.

Siesta Key

The new go-to vacay spot has to be Siesta Key, have you seen it? With its amazing beaches, restaurants and mega mansions, the Florida hot-spot is one of the most popular places in the USA to hit. Hit Siesta Key Beach to sunbathe and play beer pong in the ocean andrent a boat with your mates to have your own seaparty.

Los Angeles...

So technically The Hills kids didn’t actually holiday here but did you see the show? It was one big vacation tbh. Although some of the legendary places like Les Deux, H Wood and Geisha House have all closed their doors forever, The Hills hot spots like Speidi’s go-to Don Anontio, The Roosevelt Hotel and Katsuya live on. So take a drive past Hillside Villas (which are actually called The Villas at Park La Brea) from seasons one and two, hike up Runyon Canyon and shop at The Grove.

Las Vegas

Lauren and the gang loved a trip to Vegas for someone’s birthday and there was always drams. Stay at The Venetian or The Palms (on Brody’s circle bed), chow down at Wolfgang Puck’s bar and grill at the MGM. Sadly the nightclubs they went to have all shut down but it’s Vegas so you’ll find one. Just head to any hotel on the strip.

The Jersey Shore

Cabs are here! Take a trip to Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights, New Jersey for a walk down Guido memory lane. Visit The Shore Store and pick up a Don’t Fall In Love At The Jersey Shore t-shirt, and then head for drinks and fighting at Karma or Aztec Bar. And don’t forget to swing by the cast’s house on Ocean Terrace for a nostalgia hit.

Thailand

Hop on a trip to Koh Samui in Thailand and head for the Lime Samui villas which were where the actual Ex On The Beach season 5 castincluding Gaz Beadle and Stephen Bear stayed. Head to the nearest beach to act out the Beach Of Doom or hop on a boat to the nearby islands to escape your ex.

Newcastle

Oi oi! If you fancy a trip closer to home, then get your radgie arse to the toon to get mortal. Head for dinner at Coop Chicken House to spot Gaz, Scott and Aaron or grab a game of bowling at Lane 7 where Marnie took Ricky Rayment and Lewis Bloor. Separately obvs. Get a bar crawl on the go with trips to Floritas, Tup Tup Place and Bijoux before getting a kebab at your local and heading home.

Sydney

The Geordie’s LOVE a trip to Australia, even filming an entire series there and Gaz shooting Hell’s Kitchen Australia. Stay in the posh suburb of Coogee just like the gang and hit the Toronga Zoo like Gaz and Emma McVey. Go surfing on Bondi beach or a spot of shopping in Sydney’s city centre.

New York

Ah The City, the show that made us all want to work in New York and slightly terrified of Olivia Palermo. Walk past the beaut building Whitney lived in during season one at 325 Fifth Ave, grab a hot beverage at Think Coffee, sit in Washington Square Park an have lunch at The Diner in Meatpacking before shopping in Soho.
