Simon Cowellteased the new series of X Factor at One Direction's The X Factor USA, when asked by press what fans can expect from the series - which is in its tenth year - SiCo revealed: "I'm happy with the talent.

"I've seen all the people that have got through and there's one girl in particular who I think is a total star."

While on the subject of talent, SiCo also went on to praise 1D, stating that Harry, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Louis "have the X Factor" and "respect their fans."

Speaking of the film - which he produced - the music mogul added: "There was a story to be told and I knew the fans wanted to see more of what it's like being in One Direction, and they were open to it. It's access all areas."

Cowell also addressed the news that he's due to become a dad for the first time, telling reporters on the red carpet: "I'm ready for that role, I'm very happy and very excited."
