Simon Cowell On Failed X Factor Musical
Talent show tycoon admits that the production went too big too soon...
He said: "We took a punt and it didn't work out.
"If I could do things different, I would have gone to local theatres and built up a following.
"We went in too big a theatre - it's the biggest theatre in the West End."
The show was staged at the London Palladium, which has a history of failed productions - and will close after just two months.
SiCo also insisted that it is him and not Cheryl Cole who'll be calling the shots on The X Factor this year.
"She's not. Can you see that? She doesn't want Louis to come back, but he'll be back."
And he said he had spoken to Chezza: "A little bit, not much. But she's keen. She's looking forward to coming back, I think."
