The doting new dad posted a photo of Eric sleeping alongside two cuddly toys with the caption 'Eric's new friends'.

Earlier Simon, who claimed that fatherhood wouldn't change him, again shared his intimate thoughts with 9.5 million Twitter followers.

He told them: "The last three days have been incredible. Eric Lauren sqiddly and diddly all happy."

The X Factor supremo also posted a pic of his dogs, revealing that they are very settled in their current home in New York, where the family have been living since Eric and Lauren left hospital on Sunday.

Meanwhile, as Simon stayed home and gushed over the new arrival, girlfriend Lauren Silverman stepped out in skin-tight leather trousers just days after giving birth, reports The Mirror.

The new mum was pictured shopping for baby clothes in New York's Upper East Side with a pair of designer sunglasses the only hint that she may have had some sleepless nights.
