Simon Cowell To Jake Bugg: 'What's The Problem?'
The X Factor supremo dismisses criticism from rising British star...
The reality TV mogul told Shortlist that he is not bothered when people publicly bash his talent shows, and suggested that they secretly watch them anyway.
He said: "Why do people get upset that there is a show that gives people who can't get a record deal a chance to have a record deal?
"Everyone's had a pop at it, and I criticise people on the show so you've got to expect it back in return. But you know what? They all secretly watch it. They're all, 'I hate it' and get really angry, but they're watching it every night."
Bugg had a pop at the show when his album beat former X Factor winner Leona Lewis' LP to the top of the Official UK Albums Chart.
He told NME at the time: "I guess it proves my point – people still want to hear guitar music. It's my job to keep that X Factor sh*t off the top of the charts."
SiCo has also mocked Russell Brand's calls for a revolution.
