Simon Cowell Told To Tone Down X Factor Insults
And he made a surprise visit to the UK auditions…
Fellow judgesNicole Scherzingerand Paula Abdulare said to have jumped on the chance to coach Simon on how to be nice. "Backstage Nicole and Paula have been giving Simon pep talks focusing on positive energy," a source told the Sunday Mirror. "A couple of bemused colleagues have since overheard him talking about being more 'zen' and having 'good energy'.
"Those who have had a glimpse of Tuesday's first preview advert for the show are shocked by the new and unusually gentle side to Simon's judging. It's all a bit strange."
Meanwhile, the X Factor boss surprised London hopefuls this week when he paid a visit to the UK auditions.
During the visit he apparently told the new female judges, Kelly Rowland, to up their game. According to reports, Simon thinks Tulisa is too aggressive and is concerned that Kelly hasn’t connected with UK audiences.
An insider said: "Simon is at the auditions in London to see what the chemistry is like between the judges - and as always with Simon he's had plenty to say. He is worried that Tulisa is being too aggressive and needs to soften her comments sometimes if she wants to be liked by viewers."
As for Kelly, he wants to make sure she shines and is worthy of her place on the panel, the source revealed.
