Simon Cowell has shared the first photos of his new-born son Eric.

The talent show mogul took to Twitter to share three pics including one showing baby Eric with himself and girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

In another close-up snap of his first child, Simon writes: "... now you can see how very handsome little Eric is".

And in a further sentimental post he continues: "I never knew how much love and pride I would feel."

Eric was born on Valentine's Day in a hospital in New York. Simon made the hospital with just hours to spare after girlfriend Lauren went into labour while he was filming Britain's Got Talent auditions in London.

The man, once dubbed 'TV's Mr Nasty', reportedly held his new son in his arms and told him "I've waited all my life for you" before celebrating by ordering a hamburger and a beer.

Simon had originally said that fatherhood wouldn't change him, however, fans may already doubt that after his latest Twitter posts.

Pal Cheryl Cole has since congratulated Cowell on the birth, reposting a snap of Simon and his baby boy on Instagram, and writing: "Awwww.. Congratulations to Simon & Lauren on welcoming their little man into the world!! So adorable..#WelcometotheworldbabyEric."
