Blue Left Out In The Cold By BRITs
Blue's Simon Webbe has told of the band's disappointment at not gaining a single nomination for this year's BRITs.
Despite winning the award for Best Pop Act last year, there wasn't a single mention of Blue when the nominees were announced on Monday. After the launch, Simon admitted that he found it "hard to swallow... but you can't win everything".
Blue is not the only band to have been snubbed this year: other big names that werent nominated include Coldplay, Eminem, Travis and Lisa Maffia.
When asked about his predictions for the awards, Simon was gracious enough to say who he thought would have a good 2004. "I think Busted and The Darkness are going to do really really well, but there's one person I would like to see get something - Lemar.
"I want him to get one - he has to get one because of his voice, what he's about. I've listened to his album over and over again, and that guy has got something special, and people need to recognise that."
The 2004 BRIT Awards in association with MasterCard takes place on Tuesday, February 17 at London's Earl's Court Arena.
