Simple Plan Hit The UK
The band played three Camden shows in one day this weekend and popped into MTV for a chat
You may not have heard of Canadian punk group Simple Plan but the five-piece are massive across the pond and in Europe.
On Sunday (Jan 27) the band played three sold out gigs in Camden (London) in just one day.
It was like starting our career over, lead singer Pierre Bouvier told MTV. Starting in a little club and then graduating up. But all in one day!
Simple Plan played tracks from their debut album in the Barfly, an acoustic set at the Underworld and a full live show lastly in the Electric Ballroom
I cant believe there are so many venues in one place, said Pierre. The venues are so close- Camden seems like a really cool place.
The groups new single When Im Gone was produced by Timbaland protg and Britney producer Nate Danja Hills.
Working with him was a new approach to songwriting for us and made it really fresh. We wanted to try new things. The lyrics in this song is a big F you to people who say youre not gonna make it- dont even try.
