Guitar legend Slash has praised this year’s MTV EMA Global Icon Ozzy Osbourne, branding him “one of the greatest entertainers”.

Speaking to MTV News ahead of his World Stage gig at O2 Academy Glsagow, the former Guns N’ Roses star said: “Aside from being one of the mavericks of heavy metal he’s also one of the greatest entertainers and performers I’ve ever seen.”

[related]Slash went on to add: "He has amazing control over his audience. It's actually stunning to be close, at the side of the stage and actually watch the command over his audience so yeah, it’s pretty intense.”

Ozzy is set to receive the Global Icon Award at the ceremony, held at the SSE Glasgow, tomorrow (November 9).
