Here’s How To Do Pinterest’s No.1 Halloween Make Up
Snapchat has got a lot to answer for. This wicked doe filter for one. It’s the most pinned look for Halloween on Pinterest and we know how to do it…
This Halloween you can bet you will see lots of Harley Quinn types, a multitude of Stranger Things' Eleven and more than enough Donald Trumps. But it might surprise you to know that the most pinned Halloween look on Pinterest (and therefore the most loved thing in the world) is the doe filter from Snapchat!
There are many things we love about this. It’s pretty, never not a good thing. It’s easy, also great. And you don’t really need THAT much to nail it.
Outfit-wise, you could co-ordinate and do a tonal top-to-toe amber look. Or just wear your regular clothes. Antlers are a must but fairly easy to find. These gold ones from New Look are ideal!
All that’s left to do once you’re dressed and have sourced your antlers is the actual doe make up.
Make-up artist Carly Hobbs shared her step-by-step guide for the best way to achieve this Bambi-style Halloween look…
Apply your base and concealer as normal, then buff the best orangey shade for your skin tone from the MAC Conceal & Correct Palette in Medium, £35, over the cheeks and forehead before adding Kryolan Supracolor in Pure White, £5.50, in between.
Use a skinny make-up brush to use the same white to add in your deer like flecks, working them across the forehead. Add a nude lipstick at this stage too.
Finally use Topshop Gel Liner, £8, to create a double flick eyeliner with a small angled brush, bringing the black under the lower lash line too. Carefully paint a heart shape on your nose using this liner as well. Finish with lashings of mascara!
