Man Divorces Wife After Two Hours For Using Snapchat At Their Wedding
Not sure what filter she used to make him so angry.
If you thought getting a detention was the most trouble Snapchat could get you in, then think again as one bride's marriage reportedly ended after just two hours after her wedding snaps led for her new husband to instigate divorce proceedings.
While you might assume they'd got to know each other a bit before tying the knot, it unfortunately sounds like this Saudi Arabian couple have fairly differing opinions when it comes to social media and after the bride decided to snap a few little pics at the wedding, the groom consequently decided to divorce her.
We’re unsure as to what filter she used that upset him so much, maybe it was the dog face or the great big chin, but whatever it was it didn’t go down so well.
Apparently his official reasoning was that she'd signed a fairly extensive prenup agreeing not to use any social media going forwards, but COME ON, it's the woman's wedding day for gahd's sake.
According to the bride's brother, who spoke to Okaz: "There was a prenuptial agreement between my sister and her fiancé that she would not use social media applications such as Snapchat, Instagram or Twitter to post or send her pictures.
"It was included in the marriage contract and became binding. Regretfully, my sister did not honour the pledge and used Snapchat to share pictures from the wedding ceremony with her female friends, resulting in the shocking decision by the groom to cancel their marriage and call for divorce."
Talk about a killjoy. Is there really even any point getting married if a) you can't snapchat it and b) your husband is mean enough to divorce you over something as minor as snapchatting your wedding?
Just a thought.
