Snapchat Lets Users Add Backdrops and Voice-Changers In Latest Update
Just when you think Snapchat have done everything a social-media platform could possibly do, they roll out a new feature. Today's topic of discussion? Backdrops, voice-filters, and the ability to attach actual links. Hoorah.
Because it can be a minefield keeping up with how to actually operate these fancy tools, we've provided a quick run through of what they are, how to work them, and why they're going to make your Snapchat experience better than ever.
Paperclip
Breaking all the rules we usually associate with the platforms, the whizzkids at Snapchat have decided it's about time we can *all* attach a website to a Snap that friends can open up in the platform's internal broswer. Simply tap the Paperclip button in the Vertical Toolkit and add in the link you want to share. Genius.
Backdrops
This feature basically gives users the ability to place a backdrop image behind people or objects in photo messages. To get a background in place, head to the scissors icon in the Vertical Toolkit and select the shiny new Backdrop icon (which looks like a striped square.) Draw over whichwhich parts of the image you want to be in the foreground, and then sit back and let the background bring that extra zing to your story.
Voice Filters
Because there's nothing funnier than using a voice-distorting lens (genuinely, there isn't)Snapchat have now added a speaker icon at the bottom of screen that lets users add a brand new selectionofcharacter voices to their Snaps. It's atrue cause for celebration.
So, when can you get your hands on these exciting new updates? The platformhas already rolled out the featureon both iOS and Android apps.
