This Update Means You Can Now Save Your Snapchat Story Without Using Up Any Storage
There's a big Snapchat update coming in the form of Memories and it means your story will now last forever. Details at MTV.co.uk
Change is a coming to a Snapchat story near you thanks to a brand new update the messaging app are calling 'Memories'.
Clearly aware that downloading your stories takes up a big chunk of memory none of us have on our phones (because let's be honest, the 'manage storage' struggle is real), Snapchat are about to unleash a whole new feature which will enable you to save your favourite stories into a new tab.
Once you've decided to save something, they will now sit in your new Memories folder forever - unless you decide to delete them. Being in the folder also means that you can re-share favourite vids or pics later down the line as there will be a new function to allow you to re-post them to your daily story. To show that they are something you've posted on SC before (and perhaps that your six pack isn't quite as buff as it was when you took that selfie last summer), any snaps re-shared into your daily story will also appear with a border around them.
Finding a memory will also be easy peasy and there'll be a search function to help you track down particular snaps when you've built up a big library of them.
If there's any cheeky snaps you'd rather keep a little more safely hidden, there'll also be a password protected folder called 'My Eyes Only', which means no one will get any unexpected shocks when you let them free scroll through your phone. Because y'know, no one wants an unexpected nude when they think they're getting a slightly more PG puppy filter.
Our biggest question: does that fit boy come free with the update? And is that what our daily story is supposed to look like? Just because ours in mainly just 10 snaps in a row of us eating a cheese sandwich, maybe with some added pickle if we're feeling particularly exotic that day.
The update is being slowly rolled out this month, but apparently you'll get a notification when it's available to you so don't forget to keep those eyeballs peeled.
