Jersey Shore Snooki's Baby Boy Joy

Jersey Shore star Snookigave birth to a baby boy in the early hours of this morning, it has been revealed.

Lorenzo Dominic LaValle entered the world weighing 6lbs, 5oz.

A rep for the reality star - real name Nicole Polizzi - told MTV: "The world just got another Guido!!!"

Snooki and her fiancé Jionni LaValle announced her pregnancy and their engagement at the same time back in March - and she explained that she wanted to have their child before getting hitched.

A spokesperson for MTV, which screens Jersey Shore, said: "We couldn't be happier for Nicole and Jionni on the healthy delivery of their baby boy! We look forward to Lorenzo's first trip to the Jersey Shore and can't wait to see his first animal print onesie."

The last few months of her pregnancy will be featured on the next episode of Jesery Shore, which is due for broadcast in the autumn.
