Snoop Dogg Takes In Troubled Youth
The rapper has welcomed an “at-risk kid” into his LA home…
Snoop Dogg has revealed he has taken a troubled teenager under his wing and invited him to stay at his Los Angeles mansion.
The gesture was an extension of Snoop’s work with youth football programmes, where he encourages youngsters to put their energies into sport rather than into gangs or crime.
A lot of kids that I work with, I take under my wing,” he explained to Vibe magazine. “There's one living with us now that was an at-risk kid. He's becoming more productive. As opposed to being a great athlete, we're making him a great person.”
The rapper went on to admit that, of all his achievements, he is most proud of overcoming his gang past to build a successful career. “My greatest accomplishment is being able to stay me,” Snoop said. “It got me great endorsement deals, movie deals, record deals.
“Around the whole world, I'm looked at as a good guy. Not as a villain or a drug dealer or the gangbanger I came in as.”
