Snoop Dogg has executive produced a new album, Johnny Cash Remixed, which is set for release this summer.
The rapper has teamed up with Beyonce’s father, Matthew Knowles, and Johnny Cash’s son to compile modern hip-hop remixes of the star’s music.
Snoop appears on a version of I walk The Line. The album features remixes by many other renowned acts, such as Alabama 3, Sonny J and Count de Money.
Speaking about his father, John Carter Cash told NME: “He would have loved this remix record. While it stays true to the original recordings, the CD touches on undiscovered ground. My father was about staying true to tradition while creating groundbreaking music.”
The album includes classic tracks such as, Folsom Prison Blues, Get Rhythm and Rock Island Line.
Johnny Cash Remixed is due for release on June 15.
