Snoop Pleads Not Guilty
The rapper says his 'weapon' was a 'prop' for a video...
Snoop Dogg pleaded not guilty to the charge of possessing a deadly weapon, yesterday (Wednesday, January 24).
The rapper was found in possession of a 21-inch collapsible baton at an airport in LA last September, but maintains the weapon was just a prop for a music video.
The 'Gin and Juice' dude, who didn't attend court in person on Wednesday (his lawyer entered the plee instead), is currently free on bail. However, if he's convicted he may face up to three years in jail.
Meanwhile, no charges have been filed against the rapper in connection with two arrests last October and November - the Dogg was arrested at Bob Hope Airport in LA on October 26 after being investigated for possession of a gun and transportation of marijuana.
And on November 28, he was arrested again for investigation of possessing a firearm, cocaine, marijuana and a false compartment in his vehicle.
