Sophie Kasaei Reveals The Unexpected Secret Behind Her Sleek New Haircut
Everything is not as it seems.
Sophie Kasaei has opened up about that snazzy new bob she was rocking a recent Geordie Shore event and it turns out she hasn't chopped off those wonderful locks after all. Nope, that sleek new 'do is actually the work of a particularly mint wig.
Despite making the rest of us seriously consider parting ways with extentions forever, Soph has now come forward to reveal that all the "lovely" feedback she received on her new cut has her genuinely thinking about taking the scissors to her hair.
Let's all get checking out the time Soph opened up about her struggle with hair-loss...
In her column for New Magazine!, Soph explained that her manic schedule hasn't stopped her from playing around with her look. "We've been doing all the press for the new series of Geordie Shore this week, so it's been very busy. On Tuesday I had to wake up at 5.30am to be on a train down to London.
"For one of the press days I chose to wear my hair short, and I'll let you into a secret... it was a wig!" she confessed.
Giving credit to the man behind the design, she said: "It was done by Carl Bembridge and I had such lovely feedback, so maybe I'll be wearing it more often. Now I've got no extensions in, it's really exciting because I can change my hair."
This comes as Soph bravely opened up about her struggle with contraction alopecia; a condition that has left her with balding patches on the sides of her head. "Because of all the extensions I've been getting, I've suffered from Contraction [Traction] Alopecia.
“It means that I've lost hair on the sides and that it may never come back," she explained. "So going forward I want to start looking after my hair and I want to make people aware that if you are getting extensions, give your hair a break in between."
Soph looks like an absolute worldie whatever her hairstyle, but we do have something of a soft spot for that poker-straight lob.
Geordie Shore series 15 starts Tuesday 29th August at 10pm – only on MTV!
