Spring Breakers To Get 'Movie Remix'
Harmony Korine reveals that he plans to release a radically different version...
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, the experimental filmmaker said he'd be using previously unseen footage in the new version of the movie - which follows the misadventures of a group of young women on holiday.
He said: "With music remixes sometimes, when certain producers take a song and chop them up and deconstruct them - why not try that with a feature film? Using all different footage, making the same film all over again."
And he hinted that, just like when a DJ or producer remixes another's track, he could be working with other filmmakers.
"I'm working with different people. Maybe that's a surprise. Let's just say for right now there'll be a whole alternate film at some point. Maybe on the DVD, maybe on iTunes.
"It'll be the first chopped and screwed movie."
