Spyro The Dragon Is Being Remastered
Remember this EPIC game? A new remaster is on the way. Here are all the details.
A remaster of the Spyro the Dragon trilogy is on the way!
While the news hasn't been formally confirmed by Acti just yet, it's thought the refreshed remaster collection - expected to contain Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage!, and Year of the Dragon - will be released later this year. Vicarious Visions, the studio behind Crash N.Sane Trilogy, and the PC version of Destiny 2, is thought to be leading development.
Just like the Crash N.Sane Trilogy, the Spyro remaster will likely feature polishes to the save mechanic, animations, lighting and a spruced up soundtrack, as well as possibly offering some never-seen-before content, too. Yay!
Rumour has it, the game will be announced for PlayStation 4 next month, and hit the shelves in September, which will be around the time of Spyro's 20th anniversary. So I guess we'll all have to try and look surprised!
