Former Stacey Solomon is set to star in a TV sitcom based on her day-to-day life, reports claim.

According to The Sun, the Essex girl will play herself in the show, which is loosely based on her own life - and impressionists Phil Cornwell and Ronni Ancona are rumoured to be playing her parents.

The paper claims the sitcom will be similar to Larry David's US smash hit Curb Your Enthusiasm, and it is thought a teaser will be taped this week.

A TV insider told The Sun: "There's a lot of excitement about this project.

"It's not just another reality TV show, there's a brilliant production team behind it. There's strong interest from ITV."

Writers Rob Colley, who has worked on Strictly Come Dancing, and Dan Gaster, previously a writer for Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You, are penning the script.

I'm A Celebrity... winner Stacey also has plans to bring out her debut album this autumn.
