Star Trek: Into Darkness Gets Menacing New Trailer

A new trailer has been released for Star Trek: Into Darkness, with Benedict Cumberbatch's villain taking centre stage.

The promo clip begins with snippets from what appears to be a terrorist attack on London, before Star Fleet top brass are seen discussing the emergency.

A series of action sequences follow, during which Chris Pine's Kirk is galvanised into action - and which are accompanied by a menacing voiceover from Cumberbatch.

Released in the UK on 7 May, the eagerly awaited sequel is directed by JJ Abrams and also stars Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and John Cho.

The previous trailer was only released two weeks ago.
