Got Star Wars Battlefront? This Big Upgrade Is Coming And It Changes Everything

Here's when you'll be able to play it.

Star Wars and virtual reality were made for each other but we’ve had to wait years for the two to come together in a way that really feels like The Force in full effect. Now that time has arrived with Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission DLC due out on 16 December.

EA previously said the DLC, dubbed 'Rogue One: Scarif, 'would arrive in December and now it’s narrowed that down. You’ll be able to go fully updated from 6 December, just in time for Christmas.

'The Rogue One: Scarif 'DLC adds four new maps, one of which is from the new movie trailer and known as Scarif. There are also two new playable characters in the forms of Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic.

The virtual reality 'Rogue One 'game comes after this so the two may have some cross-over. The virtual reality mode for Star Wars will arrive as a downloadable update for anyone that owns the Battlefront game. Of course you also need the PS4 and PS VR headset to take advantage of the offering.

This will be the last DLC update for Battlefront. That’s a good thing though, as the next instalment in Battlefront 2 will be due out in 2017.
