Star Wars spin-off Rouge One had its Hollywood premiere on Saturday night and it sounds like it was a pretty massive success.

The stars of the film walked the red carpet along the Walk of Fame and the first audience to see the new movie got pretty darn excited about the whole thing.

Twitter was awash with gleeful reports of high action and unexpected twists in the film that sees British actress Felicity Jones take the lead.

Those not lucky enough to see the film won’t have too much longer to wait to see it – as it hits cinemas on Friday.

But those who have already watched the movie, have nothing but high praise – with comedy director Kevin Smith being among the premiere audience, describing the film as “unbelievably wonderful” on Twitter.

One fan praised Felicity Jones saying she would follow her “into space battle any day!”

Meanwhile Access Hollywood reporter Scott Mantz thinks the film could easily be as big as last year’s billion dollar making sequel The Force Awakens.

“Fans are going to LOSE THEIR SH*T!” he wrote on Twitter.

We’ll be sure to pack some loo roll for the cinema then.
