Adam Driver Confirmed To Be In Girls Season Four
HBO dismisses rumours that star will leave comedy in wake of Star Wars casting...
SPOILER ALERT: This story covers details of the third series of Girls.
Adam Driver is still set to appear in HBO comedy Girls, despite his casting in Star Wars Episode VII.
The broadcaster has responded to speculation that he will be leaving Lena Dunham's popular comedy-drama following yesterday's announcement regarding the movie's cast.
It told BuzzFeed that the 30-year-old actor "is still a part of this show".
The fourth series of Girls apparently began shooting two weeks ago in New York City, with the third run having only ended its run a few weeks ago.
The last episode saw Driver's character (also called Adam) on the cusp of success as a Broadway actor, but seeing his relationship with Dunham's character Hannah disintegrating.
This had fuelled speculation that he could be leaving the show.
In other Star Wars news, it is rumoured that a further major female role is still to be revealed.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that veteran star Carrie Fisher and newcomer Daisy Ridley will be joined by a third female in a big role in JJ Abrams' movie.
Lupita Nyong'o and Maisie Richardson-Sellers have both previously been linked to the movie and there was reportedly a casting call for a "mixed race female in her 20s".
