Chewbacca Actor Shares Personal Star Wars Snaps

The actor who played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy has been sharing behind-the-scenes snaps from his personal archive.

Images posted by Peter Mayhew on Twitter include a photo of Carrie Fisher and her stunt double sunbathing together in bikinis and numerous snaps of the films' stars larking around on set.

The 69-year-old has been posting nostalgic images from his personal archive on the social networking site for the last few days - generating an enthusiastic response from fans.

He began with a pic of himself with Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels and Carrie Fisher sharing a laugh - writing: "#nostalgic so Im going to post some pics tonight. Like this 1 of Harrison, Anthony, Carrie & I sharing a laugh... "

And other shots include Fisher cuddling an 11-year-old Warwick Davis and David Prowse and Mark Hamill rehearsing for a lightsaber fight.
