The mind-blowing second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has premiered, with Harrison Ford making his triumphant return to the franchise.
The one minute, 51 second clip was unveiled by director JJ Abrams during a fan event at California's Anaheim Convention Center yesterday (April 16), with stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega also present.
It’s the first time Ford’s character Han Solo has been seen on film since 1983’s Return Of The Jedi, with the actor joined by Chewbacca at the end of the trailer.
In a humorous exchange, the legendary actor utters the sentence: “Chewie, we're home”, fully cementing his comeback to the flicks.
Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Max von Sydow and Lupita Nyong'o also appear in the movie.
While at the event, Abrams gave an update on Ford’s health after he was involved in a small plane crash, with the director insisting he’s “doing great” and “getting well”.
He added: “I had respect for him all my life, but I never had more respect for him than when I saw how he landed that plane.
"He's more of a hero than anyone he's played [on film]."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut in cinemas on December 18, 2015.
