Darth Vader Actor Rules Out New Star Wars Movie Role
James Earl Jones says he doesn't expect to be involved in Episode VII...
The man who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars movie trilogy has said he won't be in JJ Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII.
James Earl Jones, now aged 83, provided the voice for the menacing Sith Lord - while British actor David Prowse wore the famous black suit and helmet.
Speaking to Variety, the veteran actor said: "I've got no illusions that I will or even hankerings to be in them, but I'm very proud to have been part of the original."
Original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are returning to reprise their roles - as are Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.
But (very old spoiler alert!) the events of Return Of The Jedi make that more difficult for Darth Vader.
Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie have both recently joined the cast of the new movie.
Star Wars Episode VII is set for release next December.
