JJ Abrams: 'We've Finished Star Wars Script'
And filmmaker confirms that he's met Jesse Plemons about a role...
The director let slip that work had finished on it during an interview on the Television Critics Association's press tour yesterday.
He said: "We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep. Full steam ahead."
But the Star Trek: Into Darkness filmmaker wasn't giving a lot away about the running time of the film.
Digital Spy quoted him as saying: "I promise you it will be movie length."
Abrams did however confirm that Breaking Bad actor Jesse Plemons is up for a role in the eagerly awaited sci-fi sequel.
"He is one of the actors that we've talked to but it's not often that I read about actors that I'm going to be meeting.
"I get to read articles about actors who are going to come in. And so I get to see someone and say, 'Oh, I read that I was going to see you!'"
He also refused to discuss whether he might make any more Star Wars movies, saying: "I'm just focusing on Episode VII right now, that's the focus."
The movie is due for release next December.
It is reported that the first Star Wars spin-off movie will focus on Boba Fett.
