New Star Wars Movies 'To Follow Luke Skywalker'
Biographer claims new movie trilogy will feature familiar character...
The next three Star Wars movies will be based on the life of Luke Skywalker following The Return Of The Jedi, it has been reported.
The Wrap quotes George Lucas' biographer Dale Pollock as claiming that the producer has planned out a 12-part story arc - and that episodes seven, eight and nine detailed Luke's continuing adventures through his 30s and 40s.
Pollock said: "The three most exciting stories were seven, eight and nine. They had propulsive action, really interesting new worlds, new characters. I remember thinking, 'I want to see these three movies.'"
And the biographer also insisted that the scriptwriters appointed by Disney following its £2.5bn deal to buy Lucasfilm would stick to Lucas' storylines.
"Writers will absolutely take his outline," he said. "That's in part what Disney bought."
