The recently scrapped Star Wars 1313 videogame was due to be based on bounty hunter Boba Fett, it has been claimed.
The plug was pulled on the title as [uuid=65bb9cc5-6858-4ea7-a305-dd65cfc728c0]new owner Disney[/uuid] closed down LucasArts, which has been responsible for the core Star Wars games.
And now Kotaku reports that George Lucas himself had told the development team at the firm that he wanted the enigmatic Fett to be the central character in the title.
The project had apparently been on hold since last year - and LucasArts was officially closed on Wednesday.
A Disney spokesperson said: "After evaluating our position in the games market, we've decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimizing the company's risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games.
"As a result of this change, we've had layoffs across the organisation. We are incredibly appreciative and proud of the talented teams who have been developing our new titles."
