Star Wars Episode VII 'For December 2015 Release'
Star Wars Episode VII is set to be released in cinemas in December 2015, it has been reported.
The long-awaited sci-fi sequel - directed by JJ Abrams - is set to go into production at Pinewood Studios in the UK early next year - and it is claimed that Disney/Lucasfilm are planning to break with the tradition of releasing Star Wars movies in May.
The films are usually released as close to 4 May as possible - as a tribute to the most famous quote from the sci-fi saga: "May the force be with you."
But Badass Digest reports that several sources have claimed that the middle of December is being targeted - with an eye on the Christmas audience.
The summer of 2015 already has The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Superman vs Batman and Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 scheduled for release.
JJ Abrams and Michael Arndt are still working on the script for the sequel at the moment, but it has been confirmed that John Williams will be [uuid=821f1a56-afd2-4681-b126-2428cece15b0]providing the score once again[/uuid].
