Zac Efron has confirmed to MTV News that he is in the frame for a role in the forthcoming Star Wars Episode VII.
Asked by our US team whether the rumours that he had tried out for a part were true, he answered positively - but hinted that he is still waiting to find out.
"Yeah, I just went and met with them. So I don't know. It would be cool," he said.
"I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but… who knows?"
Michael Fassbender, Hugo Weaving, Jesse Plemons and Adam Driver have also been linked to roles in the JJ Abrams' directed sequel.
Carrie Fisher also recently appeared to confirm that she'll be returning as Princess Leia.
Abrams revealed last month that the script has now been completed.
