Here's Your First Look At Stardew Valley's New Multiplayer Mode
You'll be able to farm with, date and marry other players! Here's our first glimpse of Stardew Valley's multiplayer mode.
It's here - our first glimpse of Stardew Valley's multiplayer mode.
It's been some time since Stardew Valley creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone gave us details on the co-op mode - he first teased it way back in 2016 - and though it was pushed back to have extra time to polish and improve the game, work continues to get a multiplayer beta of the farming sim ready soon.
And in a recent tweet, Barone shared a screenshot of him and three buddies all online together.
"4-player Stardew Valley LAN party at my house... it's really fun," ConcernedApe said. "It still needs some work, but the underlying network code is solid. Being in the same room and yelling at each other about what to do next, or if anyone has any stone, is great fun. Can't wait to share this."
"Also, I'm finished with the new content and have shifted all my attention to getting multiplayer ready!"
Once completed, the update will hit PC first, arriving courtesy of a free patch.
New to Stardew Valley? Well, the game's pretty simple: you've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley, and - armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins - you set out to begin your new life by building the farm of your dreams, befriending your community, as well as dating - and even marrying! - the person of your dreams… Best of all, you'll soon be able to marry other players, too!
