Stardew Valley's Multiplayer Mode Is FINALLY Here - Here's How To Play It

Here are the steps you need to take to get into Stardew Valley's new multiplayer beta.

It's here! Stardew Valley's multiplayer mode is out now on Steam.

Update 1.3 launched a new public beta, giving farming fans on Steam the chance to try out the new multiplayer game. While it's already been subjected to lots of internal tests, this is the first time the public get to have a go, too.

Right now, access is restricted to those who have the simulation game on Steam, but GOG players will get the chance to soon, with Nintendo Switch players eventually getting it, too, although there's no clear date for that as yet.

"The v1.3 update is still a beta at this point, which means there will be bugs!" warns the update post. "At the very least, it’s recommended that you: Backup your save files before playing the update. Your save files are located in %APPDATA%\StardewValley\Saves on Windows, or ~/.config/StardewValley/Saves on Mac and Linux; and remove any mods you’ve installed that haven’t been updated for v1.3. You can see a list of compatible mods here."

To play it, you need head to Stardew Valley in your Steam library, right-click on the game, hit Properties then Betas, then enter: "jumpingjunimos". Hit Check Code, select Beta, and finally launch the game.
