Here's When You'll Be Playing Stardew Valley's New Multiplayer Mode
The wait for Stardew Valley's multiplayer mode is almost over. Here's when it's set to release.
It's been some time since we've had an update on Stardew Valley's multiplayer mode, but developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has sent out a recent tweet, confirming that progress is still good, and our wait will be over soon.
"Update on Stardew Valley multiplayer: still making good progress on fixing bugs, if all goes well it should be ready in about a month," says ConcernedApe in the update. The new mode will roll out to "PC first, then [S]witch, then both Xbox and PS4. Not exactly sure on the timetable for those. This tweet is referring to PC/Mac/Linux."
When asked by a fan if the new feature will be free, they replied with a simple "Yup!"
New to Stardew Valley? Well, the game's pretty simple: you've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley, and - armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins - you set out to begin your new life by building the farm of your dreams, befriending your community, as well as dating - and even marrying! - the person of your dreams… Best of all, you'll soon be able to marry other players - whether they're the same or the opposite sex - too!
"Thanks so much everyone for your patience while we get this update ready," says ConcernedApe. "It’s really going to be a “game changer” for Stardew Valley!"
