Developer Chucklefish - who made the super cute Stardew Valley - has revealed what it’s working on next.

Founder Tiy posted a teeny teaser recently, but beyond that, we didn’t know much about it… until now!

Talking to PC Gamer, Chucklefish confirmed the new game takes place in “entertaining and charming” magic school. As yet the game remains unnamed, but you’ll play as one of the students learning magic spells, crafting abilities, potions, and “many different kinds” of things that the team want “to be rewarding and satisfying in their own right.”

Of course, the game will also touch on non-magical stuff, too , so “expect memorable moments drawn from [their] own experience that [they] think players will relate to.”

“Our inspiration for the game world and art comes from a lot of places,” says Abi Cooke Hunt. “People have picked up on the influence of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, but some of our biggest inspirations have been things like Studio Ghibli’s rendition of Kiki’s Delivery Service, Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom series and Terry Pratchett’s Tiffany Aching books.

“Ghibli's work plays a particular role in the visuals we're working to create for the game. The environments of Studio Ghibli films are so captivating and charming—we want our players to enjoy this world in that same way.
