Travis McCoy Staying Alive Update!

We catch up with the Gym Class Heroes front-man on his trip...

MTV Staying Alive Ambassador Travis McCoy has made a second stop in his bid to see first hand the work the foundation does in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

The Gym Class front-man spent the last 2 days in a forgotten part of Manila, Philippines, visiting grantee Alex Sarza and his BALUTI peer sex education group.
Alex took Travis to see families living amongst graves and tombs in Himlayang, where the 6’5” rapper was even moved to tears after witnessing a community living in complete darkness in a 3ft gap under a motorway bridge.
When he emerged the other side he exclusively told MTV News: “To think there are artists who pride themselves on being from the hood.”
He added: “live under a f**king bridge for 2 years then come and tell me how bad your life is”.
Travis journey will now take him to India, before he must head back to the U.S. to record a special Staying Alive track based on his experiences.
