Stephanie Davis Hits Back At Jeremy McConnell For Turning Live Paternity Test Into 'A Media Circus'
Stephanie Davis slams Jeremy McConnell for having a paternity test on TV.
Reacting to Jeremy's appearance on This Morning, Steph released a statement on her Twitter page: "Stephanie has felt humililated by Jeremy denying his own song and foolishly announcing publicly his request for a DNA test.
The statement continues: "Jeremy has caused Stephanie massive amounts of stress, pressure and upset throughout her pregnancy, ruining what for most women is one of the most special time of their lives."
Hitting back at Jeremy's statement that he'd never denied the baby was his, Steph also tweeted a screengrab that shows him saying reports about him being the father are "all lies."
This follows Jeremy's decision to broadcast his DNA test on morning television. Read more on that here:
Jeremy McConnell is one step closer to discovering if he's the father of Stephanie Davis's baby after taking a paternity test on Live TV to finally put the matter to rest.
Appearing on ITV's This Morning to discuss the ongoing situation with Steph and baby Caben-Albi, he took the opportunity to make some headway on that DNA test Steph Davis was so keen on.
Revealing that if the results come back positive he will 100% step-up to being a dad, Jeremy said: "I’ve never once said I wasn’t the father, I’m not fame hungry."
He added: “I want to set the record straight, I just said there was a month from April to May I didn’t know about and I want reassurance. When she makes it public it has to be dealt with, I have to defend myself."
So, with the help of AlphaBiolabs DNA Testing - the same company used by the Jeremy Kyle Show - Jeremy willingly took a paternity test live on the show at 9am.
All that's needed now is a sample from baby Caben, which is something that Steph will have to approve when she's ready to get the process going.
Then, once Caben's sample has been submitted, it will take roughly twenty-four hours to work out if their DNA is a match, and if Jeremy really is the father.
If the results are positive, Jeremy has announced he wants to be involved in the baby's life: “I hope I am the dad, people are thinking that I’m a bad person, thinking I won’t step up and I would.
He added: "I want to be a dad I want to stand up [and be there] but I’m not being given the opportunity.”
Now all we can do is wait.
