Maya Jama Opens Up About Her Relationship With Stormzy As He Launches Cambridge Scholarship For Black Students
Stormzy and Maya Jama are one of the coolest couples around rn, and as Maya opens up about their relationship, the rapper is launching a scholarship scheme for black students who intend to study at Cambridge University.
Maya has always been pretty secretive when it comes to her love life with the grime artist, but she’s now finally opened up about it in a new interview.
Talking about their relationship to The Sun, the ‘True Love Or True Lies’ presenter, said: “I like shy boys maybe because I’m so loud, it’s like ‘I want to talk to you first.”
“I like a boy who is mysterious in the corner and then I would have to take an interest,” she added.
She went on to give everyone out there a tip on how to stay pulled together at the start of a new relationship, saying: "At the beginning of my relationship I never did full face of make-up because that is too much effort [in the morning]."
“But what I used to do, if I had a late night or I was knackered, I would make sure I got up before him and eat a bit of toothpaste,” she revealed.
But we bet she's no longer running off in the morning to nibble on Colgate, now that they're official.
And now we know what Maya sees in the rapper, as Stormzy launches a Cambridge University scholarship scheme that will cover most expenses for the students that receive it – from tuition fees to a maintanence grant.
For the foreseeable future, and this year especially, the grime artist will be covering the full cost out of his own pocket, which is pretty damn cool if you ask us. Hats off.
If you’re looking to apply for the 2018 scholarship, then you must be of black ethnicity and hold an unconditional offer to the University of Cambridge.
You have until Friday 31st of August, when a panel of university staff will select the two candidates to be granted the scholarship from a list of applicants.
