MTV Review: Stormzy Films New Music Video At V Festival In Essex
The ‘Shut Up’ rapper - who spoke about “making history” during his hour long set - invited festival goers to appear in the upcoming music video for his track 'Cold' after taking to the Virgin Media Stage.
“All of these guys are part of my new music video, it’s called Cold,” he said as a camera man followed him off stage and towards the crowd.
The 23-year-old star - who was drafted in to replace Halsey after the singer was forced to pull out of her scheduled performance earlier this week due to a "tragedy" within her crew - was amazed by the number of fans who flocked to the stage to see him perform, and made sure to thank them throughout his set.
He said: “This is probably the biggest crowd I’ve ever performed to in my life, so thanks for coming out.
“I’m still not used to crowds this f**king big.”
In addition to his own songs 'Shut Up', 'Know Me From' and 'Not That Deep', he also performed his “big brother” Lethal Bizzle’s track ‘Fester Skank’.
Bringing his set to an end, the Londoner added: “Thank you for one of the most epic days of my life. I’ll never forget you guys.”
Tinie Tempah, Sia, Justin Bieber and Rihanna are among the other artists set to perform at the annual music festival in Chelmsford this weekend and you can watch LIVE highlights from the festival on MTV, MTV Music and MTV Live TONIGHT from 9pm and 7pm on Sunday night.
