Stormzy Is Already Working on an 'Exciting' New Album

It's hard to believe that it's only a year since Stormzy released his Gang Signs & Prayer. In that time, the LP has topped the UK charts, been certified Platinum and spawned four hit singles. Oh and it's also bagged Stormzy Album of the Year at the BRITs.

Now Stormzy's long-term collaborator Fraser T. Smith has just confirmed that the star's already started his second album.

Discussing the record with the Official Charts Company, Fraser said: "We did some writing sessions at the end of the year and his singing voice, the delivery of his raps, his musicality, there's no way he's going to be just recycling Gang Signs & Prayer".

He then went on to add: "It's going to be an incredibly exciting journey and an incredibly exciting sophomore album."

Considering how amazing Fraser's production was on Stormzy's first album, we reckon that this will be incredible.

Stormzy recently stole the show at the Brit Awards with an incredible Gang Signs & Prayer medley that featured a new freestyle taking aim at the Daily Mail and Theresa May. If his upcoming material is anywhere near as good, we're in for a real treat.

As well as taking home Album of the Year, Stormzy was also awarded Best Male at the prestigious ceremony.

In doing so, the grime artist became the first black man to win the award since Seal all the way back in 1992.

Taking into account how talented he is, we reckon that Stormzy will take home the honour again.

If this new LP is anywhere near as good as Gang Signs & Prayer, he could even win next year.
