Lili Reinhart has come forward to throw her support behind Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard following an incident where he was called "rude" for not taking a picture with fans.

The Riverdale actress has now explained that fans shouldn't feel entitled to an actor's spare time - pointing out that celebrities are generally pretty generous when it comes to hanging out with their supporters.

In an interview with Elle, she said: "My heart definitely goes out to theStranger Thingscast.I think it’s sickening and disgusting to see someone calling out poor Finn, who’s just this young actor, calling him out for being rude because he’s not stopping.

"He’s an actor, but he never asked you to take time out of your day to wait for him and his autograph and for a picture with him."

This comes as Lili explained that fans are sometimes thrown by the fact she isn't as "happy or as bubbly" as Betty on Riverdale IRL.

"I've had to remind myself that's okay," she explained. "No one’s forcing me or any other celebrity to take time out of their day to say hi to these fans or do these things. It’s just something we do nine times out of 10 because we love and appreciate our fans.

She added: "There is a sense of guilt that you can feel sometimes for not meeting their expectations, but that’s kind of wrong for me to think that way, because I am a person. I play Betty, but I’m not Betty."
