Rage Quitters Of Street Fighter V To Get Shamed
The people behind Street Fighter V are coming after rage quitters...
Are you a rage quitter? Or perhaps you know someone who is? That could soon come to an end if Street Fighter V has anything to do with it.
In a plan to stop rage quitting, which ends an online battle unfairly, Street Fighter V is going to humiliate the guilty gamers.
Users of the PC version of the game have found a badge that identifies rage quitters. If you’re a player who doesn’t quit mid-game but can stay to the end you also get a badge, this one of reward. The result should be a platform where it’s easier to identify rage quitters making it tougher for them to get a game match-up in future.
While this is one of those brilliant ideas we can’t believe wasn’t done sooner, it’s not clear when we’ll get it. This was found as part of an update that may not arrive for a while still.
Of course the downside here is that if you lose a connection mid-game by mistake you may end up paying the penalty for it. Presumably the system won’t dish these out too easily so you may have to do it more than once to qualify for the badge of shame.
Of course rage quitters can always pair up with other rage quitters to play so not all hope is lost for those that can’t imagine stopping tossing that controller across the room in a rage.
