Blue's Simon Webbe Confirmed For Strictly Come Dancing

Pop star set to compete with Frankie Bridge and Andy Murray's mum on BBC show...

The BBC's drip-feeding of the Strictly Come Dancing line-up for this year has continued with the revelation that Simon Webbe of Blue will be taking part.

The 36-year-old singer is the fifth celeb to be named so far, following Frankie Bridge of The Saturdays, Thom Evans, Alison Hammond and Judy Murray.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, Simon said: "I am so happy to be joining the team and I cannot wait to get started.

"I'm hopeful that Strictly Come Dancing will help me to improve on my daddy dancing skills. I want to make my daughter proud and no doubt she will be teaching me a pirouette or two along the way."

The show is set to start in the Autumn, with Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly on hosting duties now that Sir Bruce Forsyth has gone into semi-retirement.
