Frankie Bridge has revealed that she is to take part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The recently wed member of girl group The Saturdays broke the news to the nation when she appeared on BBC Breakfast with her bandmates this morning.

She said: "I'm such a huge fan of Strictly! I've always wanted to be a part of the show – it looks like so much fun and the costumes are just gorgeous.

"Like so many little girls, I used to take dance lessons when I was in primary school and I really love dancing but this is going to be so different from anything I have done with The Saturdays. I just can't wait to get started!"

Frankie, 25, tied the knot with footballer husband Wayne Bridge this summer.

The new series of Strictly is expected to return next month - and will see Frankie competing against 14 other celebs.
