Jerry Hall Quicksteps Off Strictly Dancefloor

Strictly Come Dancing, after a lacklustre Hollywood Night performance.

 

The model and actress faced cricketer Michael Vaughan in a close dance-off - and while his cha cha to Hot Stuff from The Full Monty was tepid, Jerry's quickstep to Mrs Robinson from The Graduate - a role she has played on stage - was "full of mistakes", according to judge Len Goodman.

 

Three judges voted to say goodbye to Jerry, with only Bruno Tonioli claiming the Texan had shaded it "by a whisker".

 

On her time on the show, Jerry insisted she had enjoyed the whole experience, particularly "hanging out with and dancing with" partner Anton du Beke.

 

Anton described Hall as a "wonderful person" and said she had "been a star".

 

Elsewhere in the competition, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley impressed the judges again - and was called "a great big bundle of joy" by Len.

 

Olympian Louis Smith got a standing ovation for his Dirty Dancing routine to the tune of Time Of My Life - including a perfect copy of the famous lift.

 

But it was Denise van Outen that once again topped the leaderboard, scoring 32 after a Toy Story-inspired foxtrot that Craig described as "beautifully acted and beautifully danced".

 

Next week the contestants will be gearing up for fright night as Strictly takes on a Halloween theme.
