JLS JB: 'Strictly Won't Ruin My Street Cred'
Singer refuses to don sequins and lycra for Christmas special...
Why? Because he's laid down the law in the costume department.
Speaking to Digital Spy about his upcoming dance floor debut, JB said: "My street cred can't be touched, babes! Don't worry about that. But before we started, I told the producers, 'No sequin and no Lycra'."
He went on: "At the moment, I'm not nervous, but by the time it comes to the competition I'll be probably be about a nine or ten."
JB's no stranger to the pressure of live performance though.
Asked how Strictly might compare to The X Factor, he replied: "It's pretty similar, to be fair.
"It's a different style of dance and performance that I'm used to, but in terms of performance and learning I've definitely wanted to make sure it's right.'
Joining JB in the Christmas Day festive special are former footballer Fabrice Muamba, Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton, comedian Katy Brand and entertainer Bobby Ball.
And JB said the whole experience has been "great", saying: "We're just chilling with dinner, drinks, hanging out with Fabrice.
"I saw him earlier and his hips - apparently the hips don't lie. We've been winding each other up all day."
Tune in to BBC1 at 6.15pm on Christmas Day to see how JB gets on.
