5 Lessons Everyone Can Learn From Vicky Pattison's Past Relationships To Help You Win At Dating
We've decided to "strip back" Vicky's relationships to see what we could learn from the Geordie lass...
The Queen of Geordie Shore knows a thing or two about the drams of dating on TV.
That's why Vicky Pattison is the perfect presenter for Strip Date, a brand new dating show on Channel 5 that gets lonely hearts to dress their dates exactly how they want before the couples reveal their true style later on.
The first episode pairs Taylor-Rae, a 23-year-old hairdresser with Carl, a 28-year-old heavy metal fan. Awkies!
So we decided to strip back (see what we did there?) the highs and lows of Vicky’s dating past to see what wise lessons the Geordie lass could teach us all about love…
Alex Cannon (Judge Geordie)
The 24-year-old hunk from Liverpool drove Vicky wild - literally. He was her personal chauffeur on Judge Geordie. All that time on the motorway must have put Vicky's feelings in overdrive.
"I don't want to mess it up with him. I love him. He's my dream guy..." Vicky told The Daily Star after the pair were caught tashing on in a club after she won I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Can we expect something serious to happen between the "friends"? Sadly not as Vicky then added: "I think he sees me more like a little sister."
LESSON 1: Pals before passion.
Stephen Bear (Ex On The Beach, S2)
Vicky and Bear hit it off when they met on Ex On The Beach. Even though he got very hands-on with fellow star, Ali Drew during a date, the Geordie lass forgave her fella, telling The Daily Star: "I'm a classic textbook romantic, I'm in love with love and I see myself being with Stephen for a really long time, if not forever. He's a lovely lad and I think the world of him."
But this relationship hit the rocks when Vicky learnt about his betrayal with former flame Connie in the Ex villa. How did Queen V feel about being mugged off again? She opened up to New! Magazine saying: "He's literally the most vile, horrendous, snaky, conniving and manipulative person I have ever met. I'm truly shocked that I've allowed myself to be so taken in - but there you go. Love is blind, or in my case, blind, deaf, stupid."
LESSON 2: It's hard to change a bad boy.
Ricci Guarnaccio (Geordie Shore)
Wedding bells were ringing when Vicky and Ricci got engaged in Cancun after a whirlwind romance. On the episode Vicky admits: “I’m not the girl who gets proposed to by the man of her dreams. And all of a sudden I am that girl and I’m so so happy!”
Obvs the wedding never happened. The engagement got called off after another alcohol-fuelled arguement. He left the house with the ring back.
How does Vicky feel about her ex-fiancé now? She didn't bite her tongue when speaking with MTV: “I'd rather be living on a desert island alone with vultures pecking out my eyes than be anywhere near him.”
LESSON 3: There's no rush to get engaged! Take your time and make sure you're getting married for the right reasons. A lifetime is a LONG time.
Spencer Matthews (I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here)
The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Jungle Queen didn't meet Spencer Matthews in Chelsea, but in a hot and sunny jungle. What better place for romance to blossom.
The Jungle Queen was bigging up their budding relationship to The Sun when they got back to England. "He's a really nice guy. He's charming, handsome obviously and there is definitely something between we."
But after a romantic holiday in glitzy Monaco, Vicky decided to friend-zone Spene after she got cold feet about his past relationships and dating record. But maybe she should have given him another chance?
LESSON 4: Do your homework and protect yourself from heartbreak if your SO has a questionable dating past.
Dan Conn (Geordie Shore/Ex On The Beach)
Vicky fell hard for Australian mega-hunk, Dan in season 6 of Geordie Shore. They had some g'days together and he even made a surprise appearance on Ex On The Beach. Vicky confessed to The Metro: “He’s restored my faith not only in men, but also in the human race in general. For someone to look like that and be so genuine and unassuming… he’s such a nice guy.”
Vicky was in there like swimwear with her belta from down under.
But her man from down under had a big confession for The Daily Mail: “I actually haven't slept with Vicky... ever! I mean we had some good times but we didn't seal the deal.”
LESSON 5: Stay happy and keep your clothes on.
